Did some indoor hitting tonight with the MAY98A. Balls being used were 44/375 Worth Super Golds and some 44/375 Trump Stotes. Bat felt and swung exactly like the original version from 2005. The endload feel took me back to the old days. Sweetspot was about the same but the ball came off quicker from the first swing. Line drives were coming off very fast. Barrel felt a little softer than the original. After about 100 swings the bat had a rattle to it. Ended up getting about 150 cuts on it. I'll use it for ASA over my white toxic when comparing post ABI bats. I see this bat making a comeback. I was surprised at how close it performed to the original model. At 100 swings it was better but at 1000 i really won't know til I get that many on it.á

I tested the Worth Mayhem 98 bat on 1-6-2011 with Dustin Groom at Keating Baseball Park in Vacaville, CA. The field is 290 feet down the lines, 340 feet to the power alleys and 380 feet to center. We used a mix of dudley thunder 44/375 and 52/300 softballs. We tested a 28oz. right out of the wrapper. I hit the bat first and was hitting hard line drives and home runs in the 320-350 foot range. This bat has the exact same feel and swing weight as the original. It even felt hotter out of the wrapper than my original did. If you loved the original than you will love this bat as it is made the same and is also Made in the USA, so you know it is a high quality bat. The Orange Mayhem was always my favorite ASA bat so I rate this bat as the #1 bat for ASA play. Reviewed by Anthony Kelly

DESCRIPTION:

Don't have the time or resources to break in your bat before your first game, then let the professionals do it for you. We will break in your bat by hitting 100 softballs that are pitched from a pitching machine. The balls will be pitched at regular slo pitch speed with an arc of 6 TO 8 ft. We will rotate the bat so the entire barrel breaks in evenly. The Factory shrink wrap paper will be left on the bat during the break in process. This will not void your warranty like rolling your bat in a machine would. For Slow Pitch and Fastpitch Softball Bats the Softball used will be a 12 inch Dudley Thunder 44 core 400 compression.
